Elevator safety function introduction

Today, when the safety performance of elevators is highly valued, elevator companies are required to add safety functions when manufacturing elevators. Common safety functions are as follows:

Fault automatic detection function

When a fault occurs in the elevator, the elevator automatically detects the cause, location and state of the fault, and makes timely itemized registration and hierarchical processing of the fault.

Standby periodic self-check function

When the running times of the elevator in a certain period (30min) is less than the specified value (3 times), the elevator system will work in the idle running state. When there is no call command registration in the idle state, the elevator system will perform self-check on the software safety circuit to ensure that the safety circuit works normally. When the self-check is over, the elevator will be in the standby working state. If there is a call command registered, the elevator will return to the normal working state.

Motor idling protection function

If the car (or counterweight) of the elevator is blocked by an obstacle and stops going down, the motor will idle and the traction rope will slip on the traction sheave. When this fault occurs, the elevator system will stop the elevator immediately and keep it in the parking state.

Position abnormal automatic correction function

During the operation of the elevator, the elevator system will automatically monitor and analyze the position of the car. When the actual position of the elevator car does not match the system analysis results due to faults or human operation, the elevator will automatically run at a low speed (15m /min) to return to the lowest floor and re-calibrate the car position. After confirming that the car position is consistent with the system analysis results, the elevator resumes normal operation.

Anti-slip protection

When the system detects that the elevator stops, feedback pulses are generated for 3 consecutive seconds and the leveling signal changes, it can determine that the elevator has slipped and stop all the running of the car immediately.
